I was having trouble writing.
I had a three-year old blog with only 10 posts. I was a slow unorganized, methodical, and unfocused writer. My specialization was long and rambling blog posts that nobody ever would ever. I wrote in the dark in a very slow pace. I didn’t know whether anyone was even the slightest one irrationally interested in the subject matter I wrote about. I had no feedback loop.
Not the best spot to be an author. Not at all. Just like I said … I was having a problem with my writing.
My writing was stalled as an author. I required assistance.

The solution to my writing issue came as a tweet. A tweet from someone I’d recently begun following on Twitter. The name of the person was Dickie Bush, and he began a 30-day “Atomic Essay” writing challenge known as Ship 30-30-30. Participants in the challenge had to write and submit each day a 200-word essay during the duration of thirty days.
Bingo!
It sounded just like what my doctor wanted to fix my writing issues.
But, I was terrified by the idea of writing every day. I’d never attempted that before. I wrote only whenever the inspiration came to me. How could I find things to write about every day? How do I manage to find time to write every day? My resistance kept coming up with every reason that could be for me to not join.
Luckily, I was able to overcome the obstacles. I decided to sign up for what was the very first group of participants in The Ship 30 For 30 Challenge.
How it Started
It was a success! I was able to become a disciplined writer. It was so successful that I signed up for it again and again…and repeatedly. I took part in four groups in Ship 30 for 30.

My first essays were “blah.” I wrote about subjects I had a good idea of in a truthful manner. However, over time I found that the routine of daily writing allowed me to discover the creative juices that I had never realized existed within me.
The experience helped me make connections in different and different ways. My writing slowly, but steadily got more imaginative. The more I wrote the more ideas I had for topics that I wanted to explore.

Four months of hard-working and prolific writing provided me with an amazing present A content library.
I’m going say that there’s nothing more powerful for creators as the power of a content library. This is the present that just keeps giving. Four groups that comprised Ship 30 for 30, have left me with 120 essay. The essays I wrote have become Tweet threads, newsletters, Blog posts LinkedIn posts, stories on Medium, and the most important an ebook (more on this in the future).
This library of content is an effective tool. It lets me continue providing valuable content to my viewers. It allows me to build confidence and credibility.

If I go back to my blog posts that I wrote prior to Ship 30 to 30, I can assure you that it’s not pretty.
