In this project based course, you will create your own low poly scene using Maya 2017. You will learn important skills such as creating a floor and roof, adding windows, adding doors and lights, creating an interior setting and animating it to make your world come to life.
In this course, we’ll go over the basics of creating a low poly scene using Maya 2017. We’ll start by covering the interface and then jump into modeling. Then we will move on to texturing our environment to add color and life to a dull gray box. We’ll create some materials and finally add lighting to give our scene more definition! After this quickstart project, you’ll be able to create your own 3d world just like the ones in games!
In this course we are going to use Maya 2017 and its tools to create a Low poly scene. This course is designed for beginners who have never used Maya before and would like to learn the basics of creating 3d assets using a graphics tablet, sketching out concepts on paper then translating them into 3d assets using Maya’s tools such as Poly brushes, Spline tools and NURBS curves.
